Brave Browser – A Confidential Alternative Google Chrome

Why Brave browser is considered a worthy alternative to Google Chrome.

browsers

Users who are not happy with Chrome for one reason or another have the opportunity to try the Brave browser as an alternative. If you still used Chrome because of its: (a) extensions, (b) compatibility, (c) synchronization with devices or (d, which is unlikely) speed, then Brave is able to satisfy all your requirements. Moreover, it has a number of interesting options not available on Google.

First of all, we’ll figure out why many users stopped using Chrome. Perhaps one of the main reasons is that recently Google has been trying to get as much confidential information from us as possible. So, users of the Android-based Chrome browser are invited to tell Google about their location, the mobile games and applications used, the content preferences on YouTube and much more.

Another reason to leave Chrome is that most of its competitors today are built on the same basic structure – the Chromium open source web browser. Chromium is based on Brave, as well as many other alternative browsers, such as Vivaldi, Opera, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Thus, all of these browsers support Chrome extensions and provide Google Chrome performance. In addition, Brave can cope with situations in which browsers like Firefox or Safari may have difficulty.

Google Chrome and password manager

One of Chrome’s favorite features is its user-friendly password-saving feature. Thanks to this option, account details are automatically saved and filled out when visiting websites. Thus, having saved your logins and passwords from several dozen sites in your browser, you are unlikely to want to switch to something else.

Nevertheless, the use of this seemingly convenient function is, to put it mildly, unsafe. It will be much better and more efficient to install a special password manager, for example, 1Password.

Of course, it will take time to move all the account information into it, but this is a one-time process that is worth it. Since the Chrome extension 1Password can be used in various browsers, such as Brave, as well as Vivaldi or Opera, this eliminates the need to trust browsers with their confidential information.

Vivaldi and Brave

Many consider the Vivaldi browser as an alternative to Chrome, offering its users a number of very interesting options. However, Vivaldi still looks unfinished, especially considering its constant updates and serious bugs.

Unlike Vivaldi, which, incidentally, does not have a mobile application, Brave is truly multi-platform. In addition, it has a built-in blocker of trackers and removes intrusive online advertising.

Performance comparison browsers

In terms of performance, browsers are always a headache, since most of the available test programs cannot be linked to actual tasks.

Nevertheless, after several tests, we can conclude that the performance of Chrome and Vivaldi is approximately the same, although Vivaldi starts a little longer. Firefox continues to be the slowest. Brave runs significantly faster than Chrome, therefore, it can safely be called the fastest browser.

Thus, in terms of speed and privacy, Brave is superior to Chrome. In addition, switching to a new browser may finally push you to use a normal password manager. However, users are not always trusted with a new product. And in vain.

One way or another, which browser to use, everyone decides for himself. I must admit that despite a lot of criticism of Chrome, for most people the Google browser remains the most fully functional and easy to use. However, if you want change, there are much more interesting solutions. With Browser Brave, users can surf the Internet much faster.

And in addition to all the advantages of the Brave browser listed above, users with this browser can not only surf on the Internet much faster, but also earn Basic Attention Tokens.
